Management Team
Metin Negrin
Metin Negrin is the President of Lexin Capital and is based in New York.
Prior to founding Lexin Capital, Mr. Negrin was a founding partner and chief operating officer of The Athena Group (from 1993 to 2000) where he solicited, evaluated, structured and managed Athena's domestic and international investments. As of December 31, 1999, Athena's investments included over 20 transactions with a total investment of $400 million. At year-end 1999, the value of assets still under management was approximately $550 million. These assets included loan portfolios of under-performing assets, equity interests in private operating companies, acquisitions of single assets and multiple-property portfolios, investments in securities of publicly traded real estate investment trusts, debt securities, and a variety of development properties and land assets.
Prior to joining Athena in 1993, Mr. Negrin worked for three years with LaSalle Partners (New York) in the Corporate Finance and Land groups. In addition, he worked at Citibank as a credit analyst from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Negrin has an MBA in finance and a BS in economics from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Eric Emerson
Eric Emerson is a Director of Development and is based in Orlando,
Florida. Prior to joining Lexin, Mr. Emerson held senior level
development positions with: Walt Disney Imagineering, where he was
instrumental in the development of the Town of Celebration, Four Seasons
Hotels and Resorts, where he worked on numerous mixed-use resort
development projects, and also lead U.S. expansion efforts for Morrison
Homes, a top-rated national builder.
Mr. Emerson holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. In addition, he is a Florida Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Real Estate Broker. He began his career as a consultant for Ernst & Young.
Dennis Biales
Dennis Biales is a Vice President of Finance and is based in New York.
Dennis joined Lexin in 2006 where he oversees Lexin's financial reporting, tax and accounting areas. In addition, he plays a key role in the firm's asset management activities. From 1994 to 2006 he was in a similar position at Delma Associates, a private real estate investment company with diversified holdings in the United States and Canada. He began his career in public accounting and focused primarily on investment companies and real estate clients.
Mr. Biales graduated from C.W. Post College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified
Public Accountant.
Adam Hanski
Adam Hanski is a Vice President focusing on acquisitions and is based in New York. Prior to joining Lexin Capital, Mr. Hanski worked for three years as a Vice President for Sage Capital Growth. At Sage, Mr. Hanski was responsible for sourcing European and Japanese real estate acquisitions as well as for managing Sage’s Japanese real estate investment subsidiary. Before working at Sage, Mr. Hanski was a corporate attorney at both Dewey Ballantine and Whitman Breed, and also clerked for the Honorable Tina L. Brozman, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court, S.D.N.Y.
Mr. Hanski has a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Tatyana Khvan
Tatyana Khvan is a Vice President and is based in London.
Prior to joining Lexin Capital in November 2004, Ms Khvan was an Associate Director at UBS, where she worked for three years in the investment banking division and a year in the equities division. Ms Khvan was a financial analyst at The Athena Group in 1997-1999.
Ms Khvan holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
